Swan Inn public house

The Swan Inn once belonged to Winchester College, which still holds documents dating back to the 15^th century. The iron bracket outside the building is very old. It is thought that a soldier was hanged from this bracket during the civil war. The Swan Inn closed its doors in 1894 and became the Working Men’s Conservative Association, which it still is today.
